Unlike her father, Gala, Rue is a rebellious, strong-willed mare. She doesn't have the patience for many English sports (besides show-jumping), but she is exceptional in the more demanding Western events. Her favorite sport is roping, having been trained since she was old enough to trot. Her fiery temper makes her a fearsome and ruthless competitor, and even through her subtly-bitter demeanor, she means business when she's out in the arena.
