A mare who has seen and been trough much. Shes faced trials and tribulations, all of them man made. And yet her kindness persists, her heart remains unguarded. She wants to love, quitely and with deep devotion. A kind hand is welcomed happily and so are friendly words. While shes not made for large crowds and wiggly riders, shes patient and sweet and tries very hard.
Hilda likes to keep a small circle and struggles with vast, open spaces. She prefers to stay nearby a less populated barn and doesnt stray all that far on her own. But shell go ever farther with someone to be along for the way.
Has some great endurance and does incredibly well with cold conditions, even in high snow, espechially when theres a taller horse to clear a trail she can follow. And if there isnt, shell plow trough on her own anyways- though itll take some time longer. Shes good as a pack pony and likes doing so, having another to follow gives her the safety to break from her comfort zone and enjoy the outdoors. Besides that, shes also got a lot of tricks in her reportoire and loves doing liberty, oftentimes showing what shes learned unmprompted.
-her ears twitch when shes happy
-a little bell ribbon is attatched to her halter. Azura braided it into Hildas tail after the mare made it trough quarantine and her heart replacement

A mare who had fallen onto hard times after being sold by her long time owners. Outgrown by the children shed given much of her life and love to, sold to make room for something new, something that could be ridden. She had lost her place in the world and changed hands multiple times after that.

Azura was passing trough the area, and being as nosy as she was, dropped by the sale. There, Hilda caught her attention. The mare had approached from behind, stuck her head trough a hole in some fencing and gently nudged the womans hand. It had given the latter quite the startle.
Seeing the pony in such a sorry state- worn and sick and yet still with eyes full of endless kindness- it stirred her heart. But apparenlty the mare was destined to go to someone willing to take her on. So Azura spend some time petting her and then said goodbye. Months later, they met again. Turns out Hilda had not gotten ger soft landing and Azura insisted she be allowes ro take the mare. After having persuades the sales personell, Azura took Hilda to her trusted vet right away.
