• Very loud. Very talkative. Will never shut up.

• Really enjoys the flute! Not sure why, but he settles down well (and quietly) when it's played for him. Prefers it in person to be played by , Sailor or Koda than a recording.

• Can be skittish around new people, though he is the most delightful pony to be around when he's comfortable. Take Koda if handling him for the first time.

• Hates getting muddy. If acting up, check for mud on legs, belly or neck. (The way to his heart is a bubble bath)

It's easy to see why all who have ever owned him  were so taken to this tiny beige cob when they first met. With a loud voice and a big heart, Parakeet really is the most delightful pony - at least in their eyes. Some people are irritated by how loud he is so early in the mornings, and others find it adorable. He's akin to an alarm clock - you always know when he wants attention.

Parakeet might be a delicate soul, but his absolute favourite thing to do is trot up to Koda and Fairy, let the young man take the trumpet from the gelding's saddle bag, and announce the arrival of the King in their performances. Parakeet, bird by name and nature, has a soft spot for music - particularly the flute.

Trained by Asra Izarrah, bought by Sailor and loaned to Koda while he is at sea, this little gelding truly was never going to make it out of the Grove. He was Koda's introduction into historical re-enactments - the little palomino, matching Koda's Fairy perfectly, are the perfect duo on the 'battlefield'. Knight and messenger.
