Who is this boy? - Scramble

Charlotte wiggles in her seat excitedly. She couldn't believe her parents actually let her get her first pony! She had been riding her lesson Loshenka Bliss but she really wanted a horse for her own. She and her parents were very through on what breed she would get and they settled on a teddy cob. As the pasture comes into view she gasps in awe as she looks outside her face pressed up against the glass, watching out at the horses in the pastures grazing. She was so so exited! This pony would be a combination of a birthday present but also her being so diligent in her studies. What could be the more perfect eight birthday gift than a cute pony to be friends with her lesson horse! As the car pulls into the driveway anxiety coils in her belly as she nervously watches out the window, the barn coming into view. She smiles wider as her mom looks back and asks,

“Are you ready kiddo?” 

Charlotte grins and nods vigorously, her smile almost perfect except for the missing tooth. “Yeah!” she says clapping her hands excitedly. 

As she leaps out of the car she is greeted by the barn owner Alice. Alice was a sweet soul kinda and gentle. She greets the Kingston. 

“Welcome!” Alice says as she shakes both of Charlotte’s parents hands. While Alice was shaking the adults hands, charolette looks around and breaths with a loud sigh of excitement. The barn was breath taking. 

“Are you guys ready to go meet somenof the ponies?” Alice offers. Charlotte nods excitedly and runs over to Alice following her to go see the cobs. 

There were many different colors, some roan, mostly being a warm brown, as she looks at all the ponies she turns her head to look at the most breathtaking boy. A fluffy buckskin tobiano cob was out in the field. His ears flick as he hears the little girls voice and he gives a whinny and he gallops from one side of the field to the other to the fence greeting the little girl. His fluffy feathers nice and clean and his coat was brushed and shone in the early spring sun. 

Charolette grins and says “that's him!” 

Her parents look to her then to the cob and they smile. Alice grins and says “this is Scramble” she pets the cob’s nose fondly and continues “he's quite the steady boy, and so sweet with kids” 

Charlotte walks up to the cfence nervously and says “I think I want him to be my pony” she looks back at their parents “mama daddy what do you think?” 

Her parents smile and they say “he's prefect for you” Charolette grin as she looks back to the fluffy cob her hand sinking into his soft coat.

“Hi Scramble” she whisper to the cob as she kisses his soft sweet nose, smiling.
