Handsome Strawberries

Voltar arched his head slightly at the stallion standing in the clearing. It wasn't a horse he'd typically be interested in by any means, but the soft heart on its face reminded him of Cascade in a strange, affectionate way. He snorted gently as he tried to get his wife off his mind, shaking his head. Its colors were red, just like the little cow Cascade had named Meatball, he sighed, shaking his head a bit before going to lean over the fence, clicking softly out to the stallion.

 

"Come here, big guy," Voltar called, his voice loud. He smiled slightly as he saw the stallion raise his head, a few pieces of grass falling from his mouth as he stared Voltar down, his expression confused and uncertain, before finally noticing the carrot Voltar was offering. "I'm just here to give you treats." Voltar chimed out to the stud as he approached, his head a bit low as he shook out his body before releasing a few soft nickers. He shook his head a bit as he trotted over, the ribbon was fast, quick and gentle while Voltar fed him a carrot...he just had to hop that the ribbon didn't rub out. He believed in the colt. He'd come back home to him.
