FCA - Bombon

"Look at that one!"

I turned my gaze into the direction my gege had directed me only to see a gorgeous little wooly galloping across a field. 

This was our first time at the ranch, coming with the hopes of maybe finding our own very first Teddy Cob horse.  Initially hoping to find a stallion, this one held our attention amidst the herd.  She was out on her own and seemed to be loving the spring weather.  The temperature was a comfortable degree with a very light breeze that didn't carry a chill with it.  She was running and jumping around, seemingly uncaring for who she bothered or where she went. 

"Oh...she's pretty...."

I couldn't tear my eyes away from her, she was such a joy to watch.  I looked at gege, who cast me a side-eye that told me he already knew what I was thinking.  My mouth twitched into a smile reflexively and I looked back to the mare.  "I'm loving her personality."

"I agree," he responded. 

Forcing my gaze across the field towards the other available horses, I couldn't see anyone that immediately caught my eye, at least not to the degree this one did.  Gosh...there were soo many pretty ones though... sometimes it was about more than just looks.  Hmmm.

"Come on, let's at least give everyone a chance to catch our attention; we only just got here!" he nudged my shoulder as he started walking towards where more were gathered.

"Well hello there!" Someone greeted us as they approached.  "See anything you like?" 

"Everyone's soo gorgeous there isn't anything not to like!"   As I finish saying this, my eyes inevitably turn back to the dapple mare still running around the field encouraging others to join her.  "I can't seem to get my eyes off that girl over there... what's her name?"

"That's Bombon!  She loves this weather; don't let her spunk fool you, she's actually very calm in hand."

It would seem I have a lot to think about.
