Sunny Day for Baby and Bongo.. and Chica?
After Baby's previous scares, she found a nice morning to sun bathe. Her stuffed teddy bear, Bongo, and herself laying lazily in the fields. This funky mare had many plans today, but first she knew she needed to start the day off with a little sun! Rolling around in the green grass she found much enjoyment out of the activity, the warmth hitting her fur as she stretched her limbs out. Flicking her tail playfully a small bell rang, a bell previously tied to the base of her tail by her friend's keeper.
Oh and her friend! Baby wasn't always the most sociable pony, but god she loved her friend- A very sweet playful mare with the brightest personaity someone could ever meet, Chica! Baby would lay her head in the grass, huffing and snorting playfully as she thought about the other mare. Perhaps a visit was in order, and with that baby made up her mind! She sprung up from the ground, ears flicking forward as she reached down to grab her stuffed bear! Shaking her limbs awake she looked up, scanning the field as she tried to remember where she needed to go, Chica wasn't awfully far, rather quite close! There was a small stretch of wood's between Baby's pastures and Chica's home, and all Baby needed to do was sneak through a fence.
A mission in mind the very excited mare picked up a small trot as she made her way west! West to the woods where she needed to go! Her toy bear swayed about in her mouth's grasp as she trot, her tail bouncing with the flow of her gait. The sceneary of this morning was pleasant, warm, and very colorful. Small fields of yellow and reddish-orange flowers. Baby would internally snicker to herself, as the flowers looked a lot like herself amd Chica's coat! Oh and how she was excited to see the other mare, Baby picked up her pace unknowingly, she was so excited.
Before long Baby saw the fence, then the tree line, she was now one step closer to seeing Chica! Baby would start to slow down, searching for a soft spot in the fence she could easily breakdown or sneak past. The fences weren't very sturdy, covered in moss, debris, and all sorts of banged up. She then saw her opening, a part of the fence that had fallen apart on it's own! Lifting Bongo into the air, she made her way over, carefully stepping over the broken down gates, one hoof over the other. She was in! Lowering her head back to normal, Bongo still dangled in her mouth. Mossy logs and cute stones scattered the forest floor, clumps of leaf litter making a crisp crunch as she walked over them with her hooves.
Baby could see the other field now, and with that she strolled up smoothly. The short walk through the forest was pleasant! No brairs, no bugs, and no mud or nicks, today really was a good day. Setting hoof in the new field, Baby stood tall to look around. Where could Chica be? Baby got nervous, but clutching her plush teddy she begin to ease again. Walking forward blindly, she figured maybe along the way she would spot her friend. Step after step, Baby grew more and more unsure. She slowly came to a halt, and stared down at the ground. The same yellow and reddish-orange flowers were here too, and suddnely without warning she felt a weight on the back of her neck. Baby jumped, fearfully swinging her head around only to ease the moment she saw who it was.
Chica let out a playful snort, having saw her friend enter the field from the woods earlier, and Chica being playful as always decided she'd sneak up on her beloved Baby! Naturally Baby gently dropped her stuffed bear, leaning toward Chica and meeting the other mare's face with a playful nose tap! Both of their ears pinned forward, and Baby closed her eyes as Chica brushed the side of Baby's face with playful lips. Baby tapped her hooves excitedly, pulling away from Chica's playful gestures. The two mares neighed joyfully, Chica giving Baby a curious look as she suddenly bolted off in one direction! Baby, absolutely gobsmacked, stood frozen for a moment before she grabbed her stuffed bear and ran off after her! Hooves beating strongly against the ground the two mares were both holding a speedy canter, yet the flat ground allowed them to flow smoothly acorss the fields! Baby was gaining on Chica, and the other mare looked back to see just how close! With a twisted and playful smile, as quick as she could Chica suddenly hit her breaks and stopped running! Baby who wasn't prepared, panicked as she then flew right into the other mare, knocking them both carelessly to the ground. Baby grunted, nervous that something could have gone seriosuly wrong, until she felt a gentle tug on her mane, now knowing that everything was okay.
Baby and Chica took a moment to catch their breaths, huffing as they turned to stare at each other. Chica grinned, and then Baby smiled softly. Everything was going to be okay now.
